Runbound · iPhone + Apple Watch

0 → 30 minutes.
On your rhythm.
Your first 5 km.
One run at a time.
5 km → 10 km.
Without the wall.
The same 5 km,
a good bit faster.
Running that fits
the week you have.
Start running.
Keep running.

Whatever you are running towards, Runbound builds the plan around your life, is honest about the strain before you commit, and guides every step from your wrist. You only need to run.

What Runbound does

Watch home: run 8 of 35, 30 minutes, Start Run

The plan

Your plan, your rhythm.

Set a goal with simple sliders. Runbound builds a plan around an every-other-day rhythm and shows the strain on your body before you commit.

The run

Guided from your wrist.

Start runs straight from the watch, no phone needed. Live pace and cadence guidance with a center gauge and haptic cues you can feel.

Watch home after a reshuffle: rest day, next run Tuesday

The reality

Life happens. The plan adapts.

Miss a run and the plan reshuffles itself along your rhythm. No guilt, no broken streaks, no starting over.

Watch route page: the round-trip drawn over the Amsterdam canals, with the part behind you filled in

The way home

Every run ends where it started.

Your route rides along on your wrist, drawn on the map with the part behind you filled in as you go. It fits today's run and finishes where you started. Anywhere, even on holiday.

Runbound progress screen: the road to 30 minutes, seven runs done, the line climbing toward the goal

Progress

See it build, run by run.

Every run you finish becomes a dot on the road to your goal, next to the exact path remaining. No vanity metrics, no streaks to break. Just the line climbing.

Said a run felt too hard? The next one steps back a level. Training for speed instead? The same chart draws your pace coming down toward your target. It keeps being honest either way.

Today

One run at a time.

Today shows exactly one thing: your next run, drawn block by block, with what it asks of you in plain words. Keep the run segments easy. You should be able to speak.

Runbound Today screen: run 8 of 36 tonight, 3 by 4:30 run with 1:30 walks, drawn as blocks
Runbound Routes screen: a 3.1 km round-trip drawn over central Amsterdam, starting and ending at the same door

Routes

A route that ends at your door.

Runbound draws a round trip that fits today's run before you ask for one, on real streets, starting and finishing where you are. Home, hotel, anywhere you happen to be standing.

Pick a longer one if you feel like walking afterwards. It goes to your watch with the run, so there is nothing to remember at the door.

Why we build this

We are bound to improving your health by running.

We guide and help you. You only need to run.

Miss a run? Nothing breaks.

No streak to lose, no red marks, no lecture. The plan moves along with you and picks up where you are. Good to see you back is the only message you will get.

The plan is honest first.

You see what a plan asks of your body before you commit to it, in plain words. If it is a lot, we say so. A schedule you can actually keep beats an impressive one you quietly abandon.

Everything else, handled.

Your route is drawn before you ask and ends at your door. Your session is on your wrist. Your week is already arranged. Lace up and go.

Questions

Asked before you lace up

Is Runbound a health tracker?

No, and that is the point. Runbound does not sit on your wrist grading your health. It helps you get better health by making runs easier to actually do: your route is planned before you ask, your schedule is built around your life, and the plan keeps the strain on your body comfortable instead of excessive. We are bound to improving your health by running: we guide and help you, you only need to run. Heart rate and cadence are used live, on your watch, to guide the run you are in. They never leave your devices.

Where do routes work?

In 10 European countries and across all of the United States. Routes are round trips that end where you start, and they never cross a region border. The exact map, and exactly where a route stops, is on the coverage page. Outside the covered areas everything else in the app works the same; routes are a suggestion, never a requirement.

What if I miss a run?

Nothing breaks. There is no streak to lose and no red mark waiting for you. The plan moves along with you, and the next run is simply the next run. Coming back after two weeks off is the same welcome as coming back after two days.

What does it cost?

Your first three runs are free: the full app, nothing held back. It is not a trial, so nothing expires quietly and nothing is charged until you choose to subscribe. After that Runbound is a small monthly subscription, cancellable anytime in Settings. Come back after six months away and your free runs are waiting again.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

For the guided runs on your wrist, yes: cadence, heart rate and the run's structure live there. Without a watch you can still build a plan, plan routes, and let Runbound recognise runs you record with Apple's own Workout app.

What happens to my data?

Your plan, your runs, your heart rate and cadence stay on your devices. Planning a route sends only the GPS coordinates you start from to our route service, with nothing attached, and they are not stored. The details are in the privacy policy. It is short on purpose.

I started from zero. Is this for me?

It is built for exactly that. Plans start as low as running zero minutes without stopping. The first sessions mix short runs with walking, and the schedule bends around your week instead of the other way round. The gauge shows how much the plan asks of your body before you commit to it.
