We use PostHog for privacy-friendly analytics, hosted in the EU, to see which parts of this page people read. It loads only after you press Allow in the consent banner. Decline and no analytics script runs and no analytics cookie is set. Your choice is stored locally in your browser.

The app

Runbound measures feature usage to learn which parts of the app help people run. It never sends health data, names or locations, and you can turn it off in the app under You.

Planning a route

Round-trip routes are the one feature that needs something from your device. When you plan a route, the GPS coordinates you start from are sent to our route service so it can draw a path that returns to that point. Nothing travels with them: no name, no account, no plan, no run history. The coordinates are used to answer that one request and are not stored. Your plan, your runs and your health data stay on your phone.
